This is the website of my daughter, Alex, and her trusty companion, Sprocket the
dog.  A
fter a gruelling schedule of training over the past months, where Alex and
Sprockett might encounter
bears, skunks and nasty pointy sticks, you'll be
pleased to know that she ran a
very creditable 4 hrs 6 mins for her first marathon
in London and you can still donate at her website until the end of July.
 Alex had a
target of £1,500 to raise for the RSPCA with this run but has achieved at least
£1,600 and hopes to be one of the top fundraisers for the RSPCA at the Marathon.

The website of the Great Sheffield Art Show - one of the largest amateur art
exhibitions in the UK - professionally run by an excellent team of volunteers and
also featuring some of the best professional artists in the country set around the
hall in their own stands ... a great day out in July and a great opportunity to buy
excellent artwork at very reasonable prices ...

Art In The Gardens is a superb arts and crafts weekend held in the first weekend
of September each year in the dazzling Botanical Gardens.  The recently restored
Victorian Glasshouses look out over a hundred of small individual marquees and
some large marquees which house art, photography, wood-turning, crafts,
textiles, jewellery and a myriad of other handmade items.  There's also music,
food and entertainment making this a must-see event every year...

I have some of my work on these four websites which are online galleries full of
interesting artwork...  The Artists For Conservation website (nature artists) has
some of the top wildlife artists in the UK and most artists pledge a donation from
their sales to wildlife conservation charities.  The UKCPS website hosts work by
artists working in coloured pencils only - but you'd be amazed at the quality of
artwork achieved .. The SAA is a very useful resource for amateur and
professional artists.  You can join to learn, show your work, buy art materials at
discount prices, and enjoy a regular magazine giving tips and techniques plus
information for professional artists on how to sell their work.  Get your work
insured through the SAA and you can also use an online contact with their
specialist lawyers if you need advice.  If you go to the Art Wanted website, check
out my page and then go to my colleague and fellow artist Howard C Simpson ...

Islesburgh photographic club with a links page to some of the fantastic
photographers who belong to the club, including Martin Smith, Paula Moss, Brian
Leak and Austin Taylor, who have generously offered to let me use some of their
wildlife photographs to work from (see the wildlife page for my finished pieces

Mark's website is possibly one of the most beautiful and intriguing websites you'll
come across ... superb artwork and full of ideas and fun ...

Trevor is a well respected painter, particularly well known in Yorkshire but also
spends a lot of time in Italy and this is reflected in his work ...
